Hambantota

Hambantota town is a coastal city located in the southern part of Sri Lanka, around 240 km from Colombo. It is the main town of the Hambantota district and has a population of approximately 20,000 people.

Hambantota is a historic site with archaeological remains of the ancient Ruhuna Kingdom, which was an important center of trade and maritime activities in Sri Lanka. The town is also known for its rich biodiversity and natural attractions, including the Hambantota salt flats and the Bundala National Park.
