Western Province

The Western Province of Sri Lanka is located on the southwestern coast of the island nation and includes the capital city of Colombo. It is the most densely populated province in Sri Lanka and is a major economic hub of the country, with significant commercial, industrial, and tourism activities.

Some of the main tourist attractions in the Western Province include the historic city of Colombo, the ancient Buddhist temple of Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, the coastal town of Negombo, the beach town of Mount Lavinia, and the wildlife sanctuaries of Muthurajawela and Bolgoda Lake.
