The menu offers crabs from smaller sizes up to the 2 kg Crabzilla, including Pepper Crab and Garlic Chilli Crab, as well as large freshwater prawns, clams and other seafood. The restaurant follows a no-freezer policy: fresh ingredients are not frozen.
Ministry of Crab opened in 2011, founded by chef Dharshan Munidasa with Sri Lankan cricket legends Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara. In Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 it ranked No. 94.
Open daily 12:00–22:30; last order at 21:30. Closed on Poya days, the full-moon holidays.
